Residents’ Rights
Glen Haven Manor is proud to introduce our new Residents and Families Rights & Responsibilities brochure. The brochure has been updated as part of our Strategic Plan and commitment to our mission, vision and core values.
Confidentiality
All staff, volunteers and students of Glen Haven Manor Corporation understand they may have access to personal and private information when entrusted with the care of residents and families. By signing a Declaration of Confidentiality, they commit not to disclose that information in any context unrelated to their role in providing exceptional individualized quality care.
We request that all family and friends also keep confidential, any information they may become privy to in relation to other residents and families and thank them for their assistance in assuring dignity and respect for all residents.
Protection For Persons In Care
Glen Haven has a Protection for Persons in Care policy that is paramount in the operations and governance of our organization. GHM is committed to ensuring respect and dignity of all individuals within our facility and has zero tolerance for abuse towards residents.
This policy upholds Residents Rights to create a safe environment free from threats, intimidation or any other acts of abuse towards residents. The Glen Haven Leadership, Board, Unions and all employees have a mutual professional, ethical and moral responsibility to create and maintain a safe environment that is free of abuse and neglect by protecting residents against practices and actions that affect their health, safety and well-being.
